About

Hi I am Alexander Jackson.  I was born in Canada in 1962 and at 36 moved to the US.  I hold dual citizenship with both countries.  I got married June 2013 to the love of my life.  This is my third marriage, but it is the strongest one.  My wife is an amazing woman who I love with everything I have.  I have 9 kids in total – a biological daughter, adopted twins (boy and girl) – legally they are still mine but live with their biological mother and choose to have no further contact with me, 4 step-sons from this marriage, and a step-daughter from this marriage.  The twins are in high school and everyone else are adults ranging in age from 22 to 32.  It would be a full house if we could get them all together, but they are spread out between Missouri, North Dakota, and Canada.

My wife and I bought a small acreage last October (2013) and I were working at fixing the house up.  It was a slow process since I am disabled and we live on my disability pension.  We called it our recycle house since the majority of the material had been coming from stuff we had demoed.  In May of this year (2015) we sold the acreage and moved back to where my wife grew up. We are now closer to her kids, mom, and family. We bought a 4 year old mobile home and are now living in a park in a small city. We love the new place and are very happy here. The process of getting here is a story in of itself.

We had 13 chickens, still have a Yorkie named Elle, had a cat named Jethro, and now have a cat named Charlie.  My wife Laurie graduated Nov 2014 with a Bachelor degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment.  You can read her blog  or visit her webpage.

Well that is about it – so how about we start that walk now.

  1. HI Alex, I have just had that walk through a path in your blog. Your nature photos in particular are beautiful. It’s quite some life journey you describe. A credit to you that you maintain such a positive attitude. NINE kids ?! I had to read that twice to make sure I was seeing right. That’s a big family! Thank you for the follow. I look forward to more walks with you 🙂
